Artist Kim Sung-eun’s solo exhibition, Let There Be Light, is being held throughout the month of June at the MK Space within the New Jersey MinKwon Center. Running from Tuesday, June 2, to Tuesday, June 29 (weekdays only), this event marks the artist's 14th solo exhibition and conveys messages of light and healing at the intersection of faith and art. Titled "Landscapes of Eden: Walking with the Creator," the exhibition is structured around the artistic narrative of the "restoration of the Garden of Eden." Artist Kim explained the inspiration behind her work, stating, "I believe that God created the entire universe, and I dream of walking through the Garden of Eden with Him—the One who came as light itself following the command, 'Let there be light.'"

The artist creates her work by freely sketching with colored pencils on canvas and then layering acrylic paint over the sketch. This process, which traverses the realms of the conscious and the unconscious, serves as a time of healing and peace for the artist—a journey taken in companionship with the Creator. The compositions feature a central Tree of Life harmoniously surrounded by stars, clouds, fish, birds, flowers, and fruits, while symbols of faith—such as the cross, candles, and pomegranates—quietly convey messages of restoration and comfort.
